okay posting again..... lol. just getting some rest after mugging geog.

let me reply tags first :D

life's like that: our swimming class is held at queenstown swimming complex. wat is taught ah.... to be honest, the coach didnt really teach anything, we just keep swimming laps of anything (eg: breaststroke, freestyle, sidestroke, backstroke etc) and we dive. yeah, something like that. yea, i received your email. thanks! :D i am honoured to receive that award. but i think i will be putting that award up my blog after EOYs, coz currently i am too busy, sry....

Jovi: nooooooo! the ammonia does not smell like concentrated urine! it smells like toxic. really toxic. like toxic gas like that. LOL

let me just recite what i have revised just now for geog.

  • Transportation means the moving of people and goods from one place to another
  • Communication means the circulation of information and ideas among people
  • Developments in Transportation (Improvements in Modes of transport, speed and passenger transport)
  • 7000 BCE : Simple rafts and canoes are used
  • 4000 BCE : Animals were domesticated for transport
  • 3500 BCE : The first form of the wheel was developed in Mesopotamia and used as a plough. Much later, it was fixed onto carts and wagons drawn by animals
  • 3000 BCE : The first sailing ship was developed by the Egyptians

Since ancient times, advancements in science and technology have resulted in the development of different modes of transport. The first breakthrough was the invention of the wheel. Carts and wagons drawn by animals thus became a mode of transport. Today, they are still used in many parts of the world.

The next breakthrough occurred in the early 19th century when the steam engine was used in developing water and rail transport. As road transport was slow during that time, rail tranport became the cheapest and fastest way of moving passengers and bulky goods over long distances. Since then, the railway played an important role in the development of industries. Nowadays, large supplies of raw materials such as coal and tin ore are transported by railway from mining areas to factories.

  • 1769 --- the first steam powered vehicle was invented in France
  • 1783 --- the first hot air balloon was launched into the sky in France

Okay, i only revised until like that. NOPE NOPE, dun think that i am having my textbook beside me, coz its in my room. all the things i typed out were from my memory. :D surprised that i memorised so many things in less that an hour. haha. shall go continue mugging. i realised my blog is quite enriching too. people can learn geography while reading my posts. my blog deserves commendation. :D lol, naw la naw la, just joking.

I WANT TO ANNOUNCE SOMETHING.

I REALLY REALLY MANAGED TO DO 1 PULL UP. NOW I AM AIMING FOR 2. WISH ME LUCK :D
